Looking back, it's not hard to see how I got here…
I didn't come from a family with money… watched my parents struggle and fight about it my entire childhood.
Never got to buy a book at the book fair, or ride a brand new bike.
New clothes? Forget it. Goodwill everything.
Other kids notice that stuff you know. And they can be brutal.
By the time I was 15 I knew I was finding a way to break free of poverty, I just didn't know how.
I'm sure that's why I'd always be the first sucker to jump on the next new thing.
Scammers LOVE people like me, I know that now. Just one of many things I've realized with experience.
They're just waiting for someone who really needs a break. Someone trusting, full of hope.
MLM, selling on Amazon, affiliate marketing, stuffing envelopes… whatever.
If it could make money, I was in.
Yeah, I made a little money, but nothing to write home about.
And definitely not the life-changing income they all promised.
If I'm being completely honest, I probably spent more than I ever made on most.
Especially that one “personal development” company I got scammed with a few years ago.
Lost more than $10k when I could have bought an $8 copy of The Secret.
Or downloaded a free PDF. Man, what a waste of cash.
(Maybe I'll tell you the story someday but right now, I still feel too stupid.)
Anyway, it turns out most of them are just a waste of time and money.
Juice not worth the squeeze as they say.
It took me YEARS to finally find something that worked the way they say.
A real business, paying enough money to live on (and more), without pissing off my friends.
Or hosting shitty parties that no one wants to come to. (ya, that sucked)
I actually found a legit way to make money online (which I was especially grateful for during the pandemic!)
Now that I've got my bases covered, I decided to start this blog.
